Peer Support for Adolescent Mental Health
Study Visit: FRSE* (Poland) April 2025
The GLA hosted an important Study Visit organised by the Foundation for the Development of the Education System*. Group members:

Mr. Konrad Ciesiołkiewicz, State Commission for Combating Sexual Exploitation of Minors
The visit was part of a three year project to develop and pilot peer support methodology. The project aims to draw on existing expertise in both the UK and the USA. Educators in Poland in common with many other countries are concerned about the mental health of adolescents and the resulting strain this puts upon psychological support systems. The GLA aimed to put together a five day programme to demonstrate how education settings in the UK use peer support methodologies to cmabt this growing problem.
