GLA Turing projects 2024-25
​GLA Turing Projects 2024 - 2025
We were excited to hear that every one of our Turing applications for the next round has been successful! 
See below for details of the schools involved and their projects.

Lincolnshire
  • In early February 2025 Lincoln Christ's Hospital School took 17 Travel & Tourism and Science Y12s and three staff to Agadir for four nights to look at sustainable tourism and CO2 in water in different  locations. A similar group but with different students will be going to  Perpignan in April to do the same study (see title photo).
  • Three Lincolnshire  primaries from the Infinity Academy Trust will be in Chieti in March with 27 pupils and six staff collaborating with Italian hosts on cultural themes 
  • Bishop King Primary School from central Lincoln will be in Zdunska Wola in May with 27 pupils and six staff collaborating with Polish hosts on cultural themes
  • Three Lincolnshire  primaries from the Infinity Academy Trust  will be in Elblag in June with 27 pupils and six staff collaborating with Polish hosts on cultural themes
  • North Somercotes and Grimoldby primary schools on the Lincolnshire coast will be in Elblag in June with 27 pupils and six staff collaborating with Polish hosts on cultural themes

Derbyshire
Embark Federation, Derbyshire https://embarkfederation.com/
A secondary school consortium project involving four Derbyshire secondary schools from Embark: Aldercar High School; Anthony Gell School, Buxton Community School and Parkside Community School.  In March 2025 36 students and 8 staff will be visiting Northern Tuscany, Italy to collaborate with their Italian partner schools, supported by ViviNatura https://www.vivinatura.net/
 
Warrington
Two Warrington Primary Schools with 32 pupils (mix of year 5&6) will visit two Danish Primary schools in May. (7 staff)  - Health and Wellbeing
One Warrington Primary School with 17 pupils (mix of Year 5 & 6) will visit Madrid in June.(3 staff)  - Language   
One Liverpool Primary school  with 12 pupils and 3 staff will visit Madrid in May - Language 
 
Turing Projects 2025 - 2026

The next round of Turing funding was announced on 20th January 2025. Applications will open in the first week of February and the deadline will be Friday 14th March at 4.00 PM. Full details can be found here.
